Allacapan Elementary School, now the Allacapan Central Elementary School, was the only complete elementary school before the World War 2. Allacapan that time was under the Municipal District of Tawit, Mountain Province which later transferred to the Province of Cagayan. The location of the Allacapan Elementary School during the first time of operation was found on top of the hill of Daan -ili together with the first municipal hall of Allacapan. The other schools in Allacapan were the Pacac Primary School, Matucay Primary School and Cataratan Primary School who offered only Grades 1 and 2. That is why all the pupils in these primary schools flocked at the Allacapan Elementary School to continue their education from Grades III to VI. World War 2 started in 1940 so the school stopped its operation. The war ended in 1945. The pupils of AES can no longer return to their school in Daan-ili because it was burnt by the Japanese soldiers during the war in 1943. The Allacapan Central Elementary School was fully established towards the middle of 1950's. Houses were utilized as a classroom area during that time. One of the houses that was used was the house of Mr. Bienvenido Jadulos . The leaders in the community felt that there is a need to put up a school wherein the government can build buildings for the school children and so Mr. Tomas Tolete and Tranquilino Tolete were asked to donate a part of their land to the Municipality of Allacapan. The gabaldon building was erected immediately and it was in 1965 that the pupils were transferred at the present location of the school. Soon after, the Marcos types of building was built too. Allacapan Elementary School's pioneer teachers were Mr. Jesus Gorospe, Miss Erlinda Pascual, Miss Nena Guerrero and Mr. Demiterio Taguba. The school also have a school nurse from Ballesteros. The principal was a male from Claveria. Mr. Cortina, an American educator was the Division Superintendent. Several teachers came and served the Allacapan Elementary School namely: Mrs. Ubarre (from Ballesteros, Cagayan), Mrs Lourdes Oandasan Gorospe, Mrs. Guillerma Tolete Trinidad, Mrs. Quillopa, Ms Sixta Villanueva Mr. Antonio Gorospe, Mrs. Victoria AguinaldoTabaldo, Mr. Hipolito Tolete, Mrs. Linda Puzon (from Ballesteros, Cagayan), Mr. Filemon N. Aglipay, Mrs. Lourdes Pagayatan, a certain Mrs Tangonan and Mrs. Pantaleona Miranda Tolete. Mrs. Natividad Agdinaoay, Wilma Tobias, Mr Teofilo Daluddong and Mrs. Herminia Arellano Daluddong later on joined the teaching staff. Their principal was Mr. Joce Ce. Trinidad and Mr. Mariano Ventura was their District Supervisor. The Allacapan Elementary School changed its name into Allacapan Central Elementary School in the early 1970's because it is where the District Office was located, and it was the center of the different primary and elementary schools around the town. It was during the time of President Ferdinand E. Marcos that the pupils were lucky enough to be the recipients of the nutribun, milk, cereals, hot cakes and even cooked Baduya as their snacks every day. These foods were donated by the Americans.
Activities such as Garden Day was done every end of the school year wherein the pupils displayed their output or projects inside their booths. This activity was participated by the different schools in the District of Allacapan. Every school and every grade has a group dance to be performed. Years passed, this activity was stopped. It was Miss Flor Tagoc, a principal of ACES during the late 1990's initiated the revival of the said activity for the purpose of fund raising for the school projects. It was called the Elementary Day. It was a 2-day activity. It comprised of the coronation of the winners, parade around town and the field demonstration wherein the pupils displayed their talents in performing mimetics, calisthenics, gymnatics, folk dancing, ethnic dancing and the modern, salsa, tango and cha cha dance of the foreign countries. The Elementary Day became institutionalized and was carried every year. The Allacapan Central Elementary School was tagged as the Mighty ACES. Teachers may come and go but they are strong and talented educators that can make every pupils a successful one.#
