JHS Food Processing is an exploratory and introductory course which leads to Food Processing National Certificate Level II (NC II). It covers four common competencies that a high school student ought to possess, namely:
1.) using and maintaining tools, equipment and paraphernalia;
2) performing mensuration and calculation;
3) interpreting technical drawing and plans and;
4) applying food safety and sanitation.
The preliminaries of this exploratory course include the following:
1) discussion on the relevance of the course;
2) explanation of key concepts relative to the course and;
3) exploration on career opportunities.
JHS Electrical Installation and Maintenance exploratory and introductory course which leads to an Electrical Installation and Maintenance National Certificate Level II (NC II). It covers five common competencies that the Grade 7/Grade 8 Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) student ought to possess:
1) using tools, equipment and paraphernalia,
2) performing mensuration and calculation,
3) practicing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) procedures,
4) maintaining tools, equipment and paraphernalia, and
5) interpreting technical drawing and plans.
The preliminaries of this exploratory course include the following:
1) discussion on the relevance of the course,
2) explanation of key concepts relative to the course, and
3) exploration of career opportunities.
JHS CSS is an introductory course that leads to a Computer Systems Servicing National Certificate Level II (NC II). It covers seven (7) common competencies that a student ought to possess:
1) application of quality standards,
2) computer operations;
3) performing mensuration and calculation;
4) preparation and interpretation of technical drawing;
5) the use of hand tools;
6) terminating and connecting electrical wiring and electronics circuits; and
7) testing electronics components;
and four (4) core competencies, namely,
1) installing and configuring computer systems,
2.) setting up computer networks,
3) setting up computer servers, and
4) maintaining and repairing computer systems and networks.
JHS Cookery is an exploratory and introductory course which leads to National Certificate Level II (NC II). It covers five common competencies that a high school student ought to possess, namely:
1) knowledge of the use of tools, equipment, and paraphernalia;
2) maintenance of tools, equipment, and paraphernalia;
3) performance of mensuration and calculation;
4) interpretation of technical drawings and plans; and
5) the practice of Occupational Health and Safety Procedures (OHSP)

2) explanation of key concepts relative to the course, and
3) exploration of career opportunities
