Message
Dedication, Commitment, and Passion for teaching are an integral part of my life. Hard labor yields numerous blessings from our Almighty Father God. Taking into consideration the aspects of our existence, we realize that our life is destined for a purpose.
Serving the stakeholders of Cabbo National High School, the learners, the teachers, the parents, and the community ignites the sense of cooperation that leads to collaborative efforts making the institution an embodiment of quality service.
As the leader, I take the responsibility of guiding the constituents and ultimately capacitate them to take part in the attainment of the vision, mission, and core values of the institution. As the process goes on, everybody must take part for the best outcome.
It is therefore vital that every detail of the school programs and activities must be communicated to all the stakeholders for the purpose of igniting the spirit of volunteerism, genuine service, support, and shepherding for the benefits of the growing number of learners.
Cabbo National High School has unambiguously laid down its projects, programs, and activities that shall inspire service above self; focused on the future of learners who shall eventually assume significant roles in building the community.
We aim to meet the challenge of specific educational outcome goals for learners, as well as developing creative, resilient, independent, flexible. and socially adept young people ready to face the world’s challenges.
May education be a shining light for everyone to acquire the needed knowledge, desirable values. and skills in nurturing individuals who are Pro-God, Pro-Nature, Pro-People, and Pro-Nation.
To end this, let me share with you a quotation by John C. Maxwell and I quote “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way”
God Bless us All!
Project PISO v2. SSG C.A.R.E.S (Program for Indigenous Students by the Organization version 2 Supreme Student Government Community Activity to foster Resiliency and Encouragement in Studies)
This pandemic has brought a drastic change to the lives of many. In the school itself, most of the learners have been affected especially our dear Aetas who are considered underprivileged. Our Aetas often neglected studies and managed to stay in the mountains because of the fear of this hideously destructive virus. Hunting and farming are their only chances of survival thus studies would not be their top priority. For this reason, the Cabbo NHS Supreme Student Government Organization family spearheaded by their passionate adviser Mr. Engelbert A. Maggay, thought of a program who in their own little way helps our dear Aetas to continue their studies in these trying times.
The Project PISO v2. SSG C.A.R.E.S aims to foster resiliency and encouragement in studies of our dear Aetas. They were given Grocery items, Learning Kits, and at the same time conducted Feeding in their community. The team reached out to two communities of Aetas in Penablanca: the Dupaninan Agta Community located at Bugatay, Penablanca, Cagayan, and Agta Balbin Community situated at Aggugaddan, Penablanca, Cagayan. This activity would not be made possible without the overwhelming support of all the stakeholders of this institution. This was conducted last November 28, 2020, and December 30, 2021. respectively.
The education of a child is a shared responsibility. In order to achieve success, stakeholders must work hand-in-hand to provide quality, sustainable and equitable education for all. Educational society has shifted to a new normal way on the delivery of instruction. The school offers Modular Distance Learning which is accessible to all learners.
The Project KahPenPaL made into realization to help our underprivileged learners in their studies. This program of the Supreme Student Government Organization is a solicited effort of the administration, the faculty, the young leaders, SK and Barangay Officials and to all the generous donors where it provides Learning Kits to 300 less fortunate students of this institution. The beneficiaries were given pad paper, pencil, ballpen, folder, bond paper, plastic envelope, and significant others which are beneficial in answering their activity in the modules. The student leaders have proven that this pandemic would not be the reason for them not to maximize their leadership skills as all programs of the organization would benefit the whole studentry. Truly, it is really a “service beyond compare”.
With the adverse effect of the pandemic on the economy of the country, the Supreme Student Government Organization initiated a School-Based CABBOyinahan Community Pantry- a trending activity nationwide which aims to help families who are in dire need of the essential goods. This program allows our dear parents and students realized to what really this pantry envisions “Magbigay ayon sa kakayahan, Kumuha batay sa pangangailangan.” As such, families have been given much care and concern, especially in this situation. The spirit of Bayanihan among all the stakeholders has been much emphasized because of the overflowing blessings shared by the donors. According to Mr. Engelbert A. Maggay, the SSG Adviser and the proponent of the activity, “Selfless Service Governance is the bottom line of the organization. The pandemic is tough for some of us but it is even worst for most.” This undertaking of the organization was fully supported by the school head, Dr. Dante C. Adviento.
STUNNING ICON OF CABONIANS
by: Jocelyn I. Dumlao
He speaks with a slight drawl, tender, and angelic voice. An Unpainted smile drew in a serious round – shape face. This description brought doubt into my mind and thoughts resulted in poor judgment, but this doubt is just the opposite. In fact, he was an exemplary father in his jurisdiction.
An educator, a good mentor who taught Araling Panlipunan and Mathematics Subjects for almost two years in Cabbo National High School - old site and also our Head Teacher before. With the short span of time, I got to know his true identity better. A leader who values his work just to provide the right service to students. Not to forget fellowship with fellow teachers. Proof that he is always willing to sympathize and open hands to help when the teacher is absent from the class. Lots of funny memories and experiences remind me and my fellow teachers of him as well as students who idolize him because of his talent and intellect.
Who would have thought that a simple and humble teacher would have come so far?
He really “ soar high and higher “ all his dream have been fulfilled because of his astonishing performances.
One of the biggest Institutions in the town of Penablanca - The Don Severino High School, manned by this Awesome mentor was admired by many especially the community for the countless honors he received. Former students hold fond memories of their mentors.
"Men are Wanderer“ destination must not stop!. It will only stop when you meet the ends. I heard this quotation to sir if my memories serve me. Yes! It's true. I really admired sir for having positive in life that even away from the family he showed even more responsible and a good father to their son and good husband when he was taken to Alcala Rural School.
I can sense that his stay in that school his amiable personality but countless smile whether in Office, Classroom, or on the Campus walking by himself or with others, his happy disposition in life was always infectious.
Unexpectedly, our former companion has been with us for almost two years and almost a decade later, we will be together again.
Our great leader, father, friends, partner, and kapamilya! Sir Dante C. Adviento.
Sir Adviento promised us that he would continue to serve and work with us to the best of his ability as long as God gave him continued good health.
“ With all the responsibilities I have now, I am kept busy, I am happy. The Lord has given me the bulk of good health and prays that he will continue to help me to be a blessing to others”
Many people in the field of education have been enlivened and enriched through the work of this Christian man. To those of us whose lives he has touched.
Sir Dante Adviento continues to be a guide, an inspiration, a gift that keeps going on.

CNHS Administrates the Issuance and Retrieval of Modules
by: Shirly B. Calagui
PENABLANCA, CAGAYAN — Cabbo National High School conducts their weekly issuance of modules to their 5 corresponding and nearby barangays that include: Baliuag, Bical, Cabbo, Cabasan, Bugatay, and Sisim.
All volunteer educators in each nearby barangay were ready to render their helping hands in maintaining the issuance of the modules in a feasible way. In connection to this, there were Five Groups assigned in making this procedure possible.
Team Baliuag was composed of volunteers. Team Baliuag also declared that there are some modules that were not claimed by some students for the reason that, their parents were not given the opportunity to join the issuance time for some reasonable claims.
Team Leader of Baliuag Group, Mr. Isabelo A. Tabbu, also introduced their newly seated School Principal in the person of Dr. Dante C. Adviento to their Barangay Captain Hon. Milania T. Pamittan.
Aside from the abovementioned claims, Team Bical also received some inconveniences upon distribution. There were students who are 14 and below who claimed their modules as well as there were parents who are not in time. As a result, there were modules that are not yet distributed.
Team Sisim also experienced the same actions and results. With, all undistributed modules were handed over to the volunteer teachers.
Team Cabbo on the other hand, successfully conducted their issuance and retrieval of modules. However, there were inconveniences along the process but, they still managed to control the situation.
Team Cabasan, the overall pattern of the move was facilely conducted because of the good practices of the receivers and distributors. Some students failed to answer summative assessments and as a result, it was being handed over again to their custody and they must pass it on the next day of issuance.
Lastly, Team Bugatay spearheaded by their Team Leader Mrs. Jocelyn I. Dumlao, there were unclaimed modules from grade 8 class and two from grade 10 class. This group handled the situation by imposing ways to forward and to continue their process.
The overall issuance and retrieval of modules were conducted in a purposive manner and through the help of the Office of the Barangay Council who are there to assist the volunteer teachers in the pursuit of the issuance and retrieval process.
Generally, the process of administering the issuance and retrieval of modules of the learners were critically made and, the minimum health standard imposed by the IATF were implemented by the Local Government Unit to avoid the spread of virus upon the distribution of the modules as well as, the retrieval of it to the concerned Institution.
