Schools Division of Cagayan Information Technology Officer I of the ICT Unit Andrew Toribio B. Taaca through the office of the Schools Division Superintendent Orlando E. Manuel conducted a 24-hour Virtua Training on the creation of School Websites under the project WEBS of “Website for Educational System, Batch 1 on May 6-9, this year.
In his statement of purpose, Taaca said that the training was aimed to train the school managers in the creation and use of school websites through Google site.
He also added that once websites will be stablished, it enables the participating schools to showcase and inform their interna and external stakeholders about their programs, activities, issuances and a lot of more.
“Let’s do this together, para sa bata, para sa ayan,”challenged Taaca to the participans.
Meanwhile, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Wilma C. Bumagat foresaw that after the said training schools could be able to create a digital ecosystem that would successfully realize and shape the schools’ educational and digital vision.
“We don’t like to remain paper-based instead we want to go digital and become technology savvy,”the ASDS exclaimed.
“I am excited that after this training, our schools would have their own school websites like other digitally-based organizations,” Bumagat added in her opening remarks.
School Heads, ICT– Data Management and ICT Infrstructure of Central Schools, Scondary Schools and Integrated Schools were the identified participants of the said training.
Sta. Teresita National High School, Luga National High School and Sta. Teresita Central School had created their respective school websites after the training.
Venus V. Bautista, head teacher I of LNHS shared the link of their website to the Theresians Dream STAR but admitted that it’s still subject for polishing as STNHS and STCS also admitted.
