Bical Elementary School is dedicated to delivering a demanding and rigorous curriculum that allows each student to learn at his or her own pace while maintaining a safe environment for all students.

Teaching and learning provide us with multiple opportunities to focus on a variety of "little things" that, over time, result in students who are prepared to do the "great work" of life.

Simultaneous Flag Raising

The Department of Education (DepEd) has urged its field offices to participate in the 500th Anniversary of the Battle of Mactan on April 27, 2021, to honor the bravery of various historical heroes.

“As an education institution, we should always retell the gallantry and nobleness of our heroes. Our learners must always remember what heroes have done for us to attain Philippine independence,” Education Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones said.

According to a memo, DepEd offices and schools across the country will take part in simultaneous flag-raising ceremonies at 8:00 a.m. on April 27, the Quincentennial D-Day of Lapulapu's victory at the Battle of Mactan.

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) will lead the major ceremony, which will be attended by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and other government officials.

Furthermore, the Department encouraged supervisors and teachers, particularly in Araling Panlipunan and Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao, to undertake remote activities honoring and highlighting the achievements of Filipino heroes and workers, in order to enrich the celebration.

On April 20-27, 2021, the Philippine Flag shall be hung and exhibited in all DepEd offices and schools, according to the memo.

Meanwhile, educators are urged to participate in the National Quincentennial Committee's online lectures (NQC). The portal [https://portal.nqc.gov.ph/] provides free access to a number of lectures on Philippine history and culture given by academics and academics from the country's best universities.
