The name of the Maiden School Paper of Baliwag Elementary School

“ BIUAG “ got its name from the story of the people of Baliuag that according to them their barangay then was rich and abundant of natural and luxuriant forest which was protected by a maiden(anito) name Biuag, the forest mountain named Balay Biuag now named as Sierra Madre, and how Baliuag derives his name.

Apparently the barangay was a sitio of Bical ,until in 1949 Barangay Baliuag became independent. The stories beyond the history deepen the cultural beliefs of the place, This also gave a greater foundation which were nurtured on their children and family belief and history.

This paper is avenue of the voice of people in Baliuag for BIUAG has a big contribution in molding the young writers to exercise their freedom in speech and writing.
