Coping well with the diversity of learners wouldn’t be possible and attainable without teachers’ competence in curriculum planning and execution. Teachers are highly cognizant that serving the academic needs of individually different learners in this new normal still needs to be adherent to the curriculum provisions and standards. This is still sustainably attained by the teachers through continuous instructional planning and management practices. Instructional planning is still highly essential even in this new normal stage of education as this practice defines the accuracy, specificity, organization and proper alignment of instructional delivery and pedagogical services to the curriculum guidelines.
Curriculum and planning practices are most evident and observable among teachers in the context of design and development of alternative learning materials for the learners subjected to LDM and distance learning system. In this stage of education which requires massive production and distribution of alternative learning modules to huge population of learners, teachers still face the need to pursue proper curriculum-based instructional planning of the objectives, contents, activities, competencies and assessment covered in their developed learning tools. Even the design and contents of on-line and blended learning materials and TV-based instruction are also made adherent and well-aligned with curriculum content knowledge and skills through teachers’ appropriate instructional planning endeavor.
“Success is not an accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.”
