The school was established on August, 1993 as Nabannagan East Primary School with only two dedicated and talented teachers namely Mrs. Miriam Y. Castro as the school head and at the same time a Grade 1 adviser and Mrs. Gloria C. Ramirez as Grade 2 adviser. They started teaching in a simple classroom made of "tinidtid" bamboo with very few pupils.
The following school year, the incoming Grade 3 pupils went back or transfered to Nabannagan West Elementary School to continue their schooling. Only the incoming Grade 2 pupils stayed in the school.
This is again another problem and challenged to the two teachers but through the cooperation of the barangay people few young ones enrolled in Grade 1.So the school continued its operation and services until it is completed as elementary school now Nabannagan East Elementary School. It was in the school year 1998-1999 that the first Recognition Exercises of Nabannagan East Elementary School happened through the leadership of Mrs. Zenaida S. Dela Cruz as the new principal.
Until now, the Nabannagan East Elementary School continously offered basic quality education for all and always improving for excellence.
