Nothing can be ceased when passion and dedication with the right amount of hard work is the foundation of every individual. Even with the additional layer of challenge that this CoViD-19 pandemic had brought the field of education today bringing us the new normal mode of learning, this must be taken as an opportunity to spend more time with our family and friends as well as to learn how to embrace the era of technology. The acquisition of knowledge during this challenging time gave birth to innovations that help schools and the whole community to prosper that come from the brilliant minds of students all over the country. Thus, this pandemic deepened the sense of hope between and among the individuals of the community especially the learners that even with the hindrances made by the pandemic, they do not stop to make the best out of each opportunity. Each of you is worth saving amidst this pandemic because your actions of today will have fruits to be reaped tomorrow as you will become the leaders of the future, the mind of every profession, and the trailblazers of change for a better country. Continue to bring smiles to people amidst this time of trial and to be the source of energy during these moments of darkness and doubt. Always remember, that you are stronger than you seem and smarter than you think.

Covid is not a joke. It is a real enemy of our family, community and the world. It steals our peace, our joy and everything that we have.
My family got exposed to COVID-19 last April 2021, but my husband and my two children recovered earlier.
As a COVID asymptomatic patient with comorbidity, I was at first in denial because I felt it’s just alright, easy and nothing to worry about. But after ten days being quarantined, I vomited four days and four nights that bothered my daughter who is connected with the DOH. My children brought me to all the hospitals in Tuguegarao City. We did hospital shopping but we went home due to full capacity. I was not aware that I got stroke and had bleeding in the brain. After two days, CVMC COVID command post called my daughter informing her of the possibility of availing a bed. There I experienced attending to myself alone in my room.
Thank God and all praises to Him alone for aiding me and my family deposited in our faith and mental banks. We were able to withdraw trust from God who encouraged us that He is able to do miracle things. Being mentally healthy that we were able to think positively in this pandemic. With this, I was able to share my conviction to the two patients who were with me before I was discharged. Worriness has never visited me because I was reminded about Paul when he said that to die is gain and to live is to glorify God.
We were also grateful that during this pandemic or every difficult situation, our family, love ones, our friends are our great source of help financially and emotionally in carrying our heavy loads.
Gonzales and Villar qualify in the Advance Science Entrance Examination
Michael Joseph B. Gonzales and Aeron Aedan S. Villar, Grade VI pupils of Baculud Elementary School, passed the qualifying examination for incoming Grade 7 conducted by the High School Department of the University of St. Louis, Tuguegarao City.
The said examination was done virtually, participated by the 203 applicant examinees. Luckily, they made it to top 18 and 19 respectively. English, Mathematics and Science were the focus of the examination.
Baculud Elementary School will continue its mission of producing pupils who are ready to compete and excel amidst the challenges of life.
