Casicallan Elementary School was established in 1958 when the DECS purchased a piece of land measuring 9,040 sq m. more or less in Casicallan Sur, Gattaran, Cagayan.
The residents then built a PTA building made of bamboo, nipa, and wood. The school was registered as Casicallan Primary School. It catered Grades I to 3 pupils of Casicallan Sur and from nearby barangays of Casicallan Norte and L. Adviento, Gattaran, Cagayan. The first school head was Miss Nena Dela Peῆa (1958 – 1963) followed by Mr. Isabelo Pascual (1964 – 1982).
It was during the time of Isabelo Pascual in 1975 that a Grade 4 class was opened. And in 1983, the school opened Grades 5 and 6 classes and it became Casicallan Elementary School. Mrs. Flora Tobias was then the school head (1983 -2003). The parents and school children were happy having a complete elementary school because the children were spared from hiking from their residence to the Central School and Aguiguican Elementary School.
As time went by, additional buildings were put up like the two classroom Bagong Lipunan Type Building in 2000 and the Bagong Lipunan Building in 2005.
In 2008, the school inaugurated the Ramon C. Nolasco Type Building. It is a three – classroom building funded by the municipal government of Gattaran through the leadership of the then Hon. Mayor Ramon C. Nolasco.
The following were the school heads of the school: Mrs. Flordeliza Verzosa (2005), Mrs. FeRoulette Danao (2006-2011), Mrs. Lynnette Agatep (2012 -2016),
Ms. Eleanor A. Ursua (2016 – present).
