Champion Producers

BE Awardee! Adjudged as 3rdplacer in adopt a School Program Brigada Eskwela for SY 2019-2020 and had received top awards in the academic competition since 2011 producing champions in Journalism MTAP and Science Competitions, MES is known in the entire municipality as a performing School in the different academic and non-academic competitions.

How could they achieve these achievements? What are their secret behind their triumphs through the years? Come on! Let’s take a closer look to the School’s Education Management Information System and find out how they became an institution of champion producer.

Its success in the limelight of education is achieved thru the leadership of their former school head, Mr. Faustino E. Wana and the newly installed school head Mr. Rodson Q. Ramos in collaboration with the 7 Teaching Staff which compose of one Master Teacher I, Two Teacher 3, two Teacher 2 and one Teacher I.

Teachers are empower to initiate innovation in line with their role as classroom managers, encourages to attend seminars and post graduate studies, conduct researchers, LAC Sessions every Last Saturday of the month, develop their potentials by assigning them in their line of expertise, conduct functional staff conference for development and the Master Teacher role are being maximize for better implementation of teaching strategies and improvement of performance of teachers and learners as a whole.

Its infrastructure includes 6 buildings constructed by the DepEd with the financial assistance from the Municipal, Provincial and National Government will ensure the safeness of its enrollees for this year which booms in all Grade level. A total of 160 are presently studying in this institution.

The school maintains and improves its existing school facilities, cleanliness and beautification inside and out of the school site, repair and repaint all school buildings from their financial resources which is the MOOE fund from the DepEd, proceeds from canteen, School Educational Fund from the LGU and fund raising activities.

Special programs were implemented for the betterment of the school as a whole, they conduct feeding program to wasted pupils once a week, organize functional pupil government programs and activities such as Eco-waste Management Clean and Green, Drug Prevention Programs, Nutritions, Christmas Celebration and town Fiesta and all activities up to the National Level.

The school implements the DepEd Thrusts, Schools First Initiative and School Remedial instructions. It analyzes, interprets the result of periodic test to improve performance, construct parallel test items in Math challenge and intensify the Schools Reading program “Project SPARK”

What more can we ask for? An institution of excellence for us to emulate is in our municipality, Mabanguc ES of Aparri West District.

MES on its Best

To know wisdom and instruction, to perceive words of understanding, justice, judgment and equity, to give subtlety to the simple young man's knowledge and discretion.

Where could we attain all these things? In what particular place can we find these manifold of blessings? Read and find out.

The gates of my school is so colorful. The paint of it is a combination of bright colors. There you can see the name of my beloved school. In the gate, you can see the sign of wisdom, the book above the gate. There's a quotation from the ancient and it says, “Readers are Leaders”.

Its gymnasium is at the center of the school buildings. And if you are curious enough to examine the materials of this gymnasium, there you can see how resourceful those people who built it.

The classrooms are wonderful for most of the building are new. They are bright to see. Yes, they are bright as the pupils.

The teachers of my school are people to be cherished forever. All of them are nice to see from head to foot. They are good examples for the pupils. For them, time is precious, no time for gossiping, no wasted time. But most of all are their smiles, their smiles which can cure the sadness and pain inside our hearts. When they talk to you, you are shocked. Why? You are just talking with an angel from above. I think humility is their foundation of success in life.

The principal of course is the greatest hero. He's the master builder, molding the teachers to be heroes for their pupils. Setting himself to be a good example in the school. He's a zealous person, character with a great prize. Love is what you can see in his work and life.

The school in a garden shows what kind of parents do these pupils have. The vegetables are so nice to see. Some says, “A little paradise in Mabanguc”. For your information, my beloved school won as the best “School in a Garden” in the Municipal Level.

The Herbary of course is also great for its medicinal plants. This helps the community folks who do not have enough money to go to hospital or to buy medicines. So, I recommend you to visit the herbary of my school and take an herbal plant for free.

Nursery! This place are full of plants, you can see the different kinds of fruit bearing trees and other seedlings. These are really available to everyone who wanted to plant and save mother earth.

Still many things will change, but the memories of my school will never be forgotten. That's why I am proud of my “Beloved Mabanguc Elementary School” for it is my Second home.

The Prize of Winning

After being qualified to the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) and being hailed as the only school in Aparri West District with four RSPC qualifiers, our school was overwhelmed with victory, rejoicing with honor and pride.

The strong determination and perseverance of the School’s Paper Advisers and Scribes to bring home the bacon in every contested category where they competed gave the school appreciations from other school not only in Aparri West District but in the Municipality of Aparri and Division of Cagayan.

It is really amazing to know that a far flung Non– Central Elementary School can produced five DSPC top awardees and four will represent the Division of Cagayan in the Regional Schools Press Conference in Science and Health Writing Contest, English and Filipino, Sports Writing Contest English and Editorial Cartooning Contest, English.

However, these victories often times turn to worries and nightmares due to financial problem. We eventually end up losing hope knowing there’s a tendency that we may not be able to join the RSPC if the amount needed won’t be raised through solicitations.

But how lucky we are for having a very supportive Schools District Supervisor, School Administrators, Teachers and Municipal Mayor for shouldering all our expenses in the 2016 Regional Schools Press Conference at Diffun, Quirino.

This inspires us to continue the quest for more recognitions, medals and trophies for the glory of our family, school, district, municipality and division.

Fellow journalists, stay good, always strive to be better and do your best. Hence, we will always be proud to say “We are winners” in our own way!

The Joy of being a Journalist

In the field of Journalism where words are weapons for survival, only few emerge victorious– those who are armed with great journalistic skills and I am proud, I’m one of those who are chosen.

Being a journalist is not easy because everyone is expecting you to uphold what is true and what is real without prejudices.

When I joined the District Saturday Journalism Class for Saturdays at Bangag Elementary School last September to October 2016. I never imagined that I am one of those pool of writers who will represent of district in the Division Schools Press Conference at Gonzaga, Cagayan.

It’ s a dream come true, especially that I don’t have any access to the different technologies that other budding writers have to enhance their writing skills.

But it was a challenge for me, that’s why I worked so hard. Every minute counts and every practices makes a difference. I said to myself, I had to make a name not only for my glory but for my school, my district, and above all, to God who gave me the skill in writing.

And as I proved my worth, joining the DSPC 2016 was my first taste of victory. I was adjudged as the 4th place in Science and Health Writing Contest, English Category and I thanked our advisers that our God– given talent had been harnessed.

This gave me an opportunity to represent the Division of Cagayan in the RSPC 2016 at Diffun, Quirino together with my three other school mates who are also RSPC qualifiers.

This is the first time that Mabanguc Elementary School had ever produced four qualifiers for a Regional Contest. Another blessing of the countless achievements that the school had ever received from God this school year.

Now that I’m about to leave my beloved school, I wish that the same spirit will instill in the minds of the next generating writers that these institution will produce in the future.

It’s both joy and a pride to be a star in the school in the world of writing and whatever the next competition will it be, we are truly prepared.

Put in mind that we achieved all those recognitions not by luck but by pure hardwork, determination, perseverance and most of all, prayers.

My dear schoolmates, if you wish to be like us, start scribbling for your first writing draft now, for Mabanguc Elementary School will support you and prove to others that our school is a School Excellent in Campus Journalism.

Grand Celebration

Their lips are as red as apples and their smiles are as sweet as candies.

This is how we describe the contestants. The contestants? Yes, the contestants for Mr. and Miss Valentine 2016 and Little Miss Valentine 2016.

Afternoon of February 20, 2016, Mabanguc Elementary School conducted a very special program– the search for Mr. and Miss Valentine 2016 and Little Mr. and Miss Valentine 2016.

Our school prepared well for this occasion. Teachers were united in decorating, trying to make the place great and the stage to look like a paradise. Flower with different colours were seen. The stage was so amazing. Oh! It’s a very very beautiful place to conduct the program.

As the chairman of the Board of Judges

At exactly one o’ clock in the afternoon, the program started. The invited brilliant judges arrived. They were all well– dressed.

The judges for Mr. and Miss Valentine were Mr. James John Roldan of Bangag Elementary School, Mr. Lloyd Tabulog of Nanappatan Elementary School and Mr. Richard Pastor , Principal –III of Aparri West Central School as the chairman of the board of judges. Mrs. Marivel Vasquez of Zinarag Elementary School, Mr. Ford Cortez, Teacher in– charge of Don Formoso Elementary School and Mr. Reynaldo Enayo, Head teacher III of Bangag Elementary School served as the judges for Little Mr. and Miss Valentine 2016.A ngel Unciano and Judemark Corpuz for higher grades and Terence Pigao and Zhy Ashley Mondido for lower grades.

Next is the wearing of the school uniform. The contestants wore their school uniform. Their blouses were neat and their shoes were well– shined. Some also held books and some wore bags and of course, they gave their best smiles.

While on the side of the judges, it was very difficult to choose. Best in school uniform was Jarha Mae Tuscano and John Errol Torio for higher grades and Prince Angelo Estanes and Rica Jade Lou Paa for the lower grades.

Finally, the last walk of the contestants on stage, the casual dress wearing. The contestants ramped and posed gracefully with their colourful dresses. The judges has chosen Ellah Jemmica Danao and Judemark Corpuz for the higher grades while for the lower grades were Emille John Pedronan and Catherine Kelly Paa.

There were also minor awards. For the higher grades, Close Up Smile was Judemark Corpuz and Ellah Jemmica Danao; Ramp Model was Stanley Dave Paa and Lyka Joice Antonio, Darling of the Crowd, Judemark Corpuz and Angel Unciano, and Popularity Award, John Errol Torio and Princess Erica Torio.

For the lower grades, Darling of the Crowd was given to Emille John Pedronan and Zhy Ashley Mondido while the Popularity Award was to given to Terence Pigao and Lourise Padre.

Next, the awarding of the top five, Oh! The contestants felt nervous. For the higher gardes, the top five were Lyka Joice Antonio, Junalyn Piga, Princess Erica Torio, Angel Unciano and Ellah Jemmica Danao for the girls, and Judemark Corpuz, Ormel Paet Jr., John Errol Torio, Kevin Madriaga and Stanley Dave Paa for the boys.

For the lower gardes, the top five were Zhy Ashley Mondido, Ashley Faye Tamayo, Khristine Joy Arquillo, Catherine Kelly and Rhica Jade Lou Paa for the girls and Prince Angelo Estanes, Emille John Pedronan, Skyley Jowell Malate, Terence Pigao and Jademark Paa for boys.

And finally, the last part of the program– the question and answer portion. The contestants gave their best answer to the judges.

Oh! It’s awarding time. For the higher grades, fourth runners up were Kevin Kevin Madriaga and Lyka Joice Antonio. Third runners up, Judemark Corpuz and Junalyn Piga. Second runners up, Ormel Paet Jr. and Princess Erica Torio. First runners up, Ellah Jemmica Danao and John Errol Torio, Finally, the crowned Mr. & Miss Valentine 2016 were Stanley Dave Paa and Angel Unciano.

On the lower grades, fourth runners up were Skylee Jowell Malate and Khristine Joy Arquillo, third runners up were Emille John Pedronan and Ashley Faye Tamayo. Second runners up were Prince Angelo Estanes and Zhy Ashley Mondido. First runners up were Terence Pigao and Catherine Kelly Paa. The Little Mr. & Miss Valentine 2016 were Jade Mark Paa and Rica Jade Lou Paa.

This was the Search for Mr. & Miss Valentine 2016 and Little Mr. & Miss Valentine 2016. Another event which will be added to the history of our school.
