ANO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL MAP
Ano Elementary School was established in 1920. It was situated at the heart of Barangay Ano beside Barangay Hall which was about 5 kilometers from the city proper. As stated in the tax declaration, it covered an area of which 8,739 sq. meters of forest trees are planted, making the school atmosphere fresh, cool, and shady the whole day long. The land was donated by some Barangay Ano Residents for their children’s concerns.
The school started with two rooms made of bamboo walls and nipa roofing. It catered to primary grades or multi-grade classrooms. Several years passed it offered a complete grade level from grades one to six.
In 1984, Ano ES offered Non-Formal Education for out-of-school youth which was administered by Mrs. Lydia J. Flores and changed its name to Alternative Learning System (ALS). The following ALS Mobile Teachers were assigned to our school: Mrs. Lourdes Caranto, Mrs. Lorna Caguioa, Ms. Vanessa Adriano, Mr. Toribio Eristingcol, and at present Mrs. Violeta Cayabyab. Last School Year 2020-2021, the first ALS elementary graduate, Mark Jerico C. Cardinoza, was pronounced during Virtual Graduation Ceremony.
While in 2009, Ano ES offered the SPED class program for special children not only for learners who are residing at Barangay Ano but also in nearby barangays. As of now, Mrs. Jeanny M. Fernandez has 5 learners in SPED Class and handled the following: learning disability, visual impairment, intellectual disability, autism, and hearing impairment.
Ano ES is a complete elementary school that caters to Kindergarten to Grade 6 classes and has a population of 350 learners.
In 2016, the school underwent major repair of 8 classrooms and 1 condemned building. Last 2024, one building with three classrooms was added which used as Grade 5 rooms and SLRC/ICT Room.There were nine school buildings. Thirteen rooms are used for academic classes and one school official. All rooms are properly lit and ventilated. It is supplied by potable water drawn from the pump well and pump line. Sanitary water-sealed toilets and handwashing areas are built in every room for the school children and employees.
The following principals were then assigned and contributed their greatest accomplishments: Mrs. Rosalia Tapang, Mrs. Conchita Sison, Mr. Felix De Vera, Mr.Isidro Ferrer, Mr. Pedro Pagdanganan, Mr. Juan Agbuya, Mr. Gilberto Ignacio, Mr. Alfredo Flores, Mr. Carlito Bandong (2010-2015), Mr. Voltaire Fermin (2015-2019), Mrs Edna C. Roque (2019-2023).
Last August 1,2023 up to the present, the school is being managed by Mr. Gerardo Z. Doria, Principal I with 15 efficient and competent teachers capable of giving quality education and the best loving care to the children and 1 utility worker/security guard.
Recently, our school has 1 Administrative Officer II, Mrs. Yolanda D. Balin.
