History

Calintaan Elementary School is a complete and non-central school. It was formerly called Calintaan Primary School and situated at Calintaan, Amulung, Cagayan. The said school was opened in the year 2000 thru the initiative of Brgy. Captain Oscar Caban Sr.

Mrs. Jacqueline D. Herbert, the first teacher, taught grades 1 and 2 as combination class, but because of the distance of the residence and a nursing mother they swapped with Miss. Charisa C. Adriano in the year 2003 – 2007 with Mr. Leonardo M. Adriano as the Head Teacher.

In the year 2007, grades 3 and 4 was opened thru the initiative of Municipal Mayor Atty.Nicanor De Leon and Mrs. Marites R. Paguila was installed as a Municipal Funded Teacher. As years past there is fast growing population, so another regular teacher was deployed in the person of Mr. Roberto C. Madrazo as grades 5 and 6 adviser.

Mr. Madrazo was promoted as Principal I at Masical E/S and Calintaan E/S was given a new permanent teacher on November 2007 in the person of Mr. Alvin Eleydo. On August 2009, it became a monograde school

At present the school has seven nationally funded teachers headed by Mrs. Jeraldin C. Madrazo as Teacher-In- Charge.
