Yes. You can borrow the licenses to work offline by following the steps described in the installation instructions. For offices with unstable internet connection, we highly recommend that you do this to prevent disruption of work due to poor internet connectivity. The maximum number of days for borrowing licenses is 90.
We procured concurrent licenses which means that we pool all the licenses in a license manager installed in the DENR CO server. For security, you need to be able to connect to the DENR CO server to get or borrow a license.
Since we procured concurrent licenses, you can install the license in different devices. Just be remember to return the borrowed licenses from the old device before you borrow it again using the new device, in that way you will still be utilizing the same number of licenses as allocated to your office.
Contact the ICT personnel of your office to have the license reauthorized. The ICT personnel would need to re-connect to OpenVPN and follow the initial authorization and borrowing process. We suggest that you notify the ICT personnel as soon as you get a reminder that the license will soon expire to prevent disruption of usage.
Requests for additional license should be coordinated with your GIS focal first if all the allotted number of licenses are exhausted. Due to a definite number of available licenses, the Portal administrator monitors the use and distribution to make sure all offices can use them.
