The SDSS District and Community scholarship application packages will be available to all grade 12 students on March 31st.
I will have information sessions on Tuesday March 31st and Thursday April 2nd at flex and Wednesday April 1st at lunch in the Library
All applications will be due Wednesday April 15th at 9:30am
ScholarTree has a huge list of schoalrships you can apply for over Spring Break.
Many awards ask applicants for reference letters.
How to ask for a reference?
Print off, fill out & give this "Brag Sheet" to the person you are asking a reference from. It will be a accurate summary of all your greatness
Provide a summary sheet of the award you are applying for
Give 10 days notice ahead of the award deadline, or date you want to hand in application
Scholarship season opens in early September.
Please do not pay any organizations that "help" students get scholarships. A popular local one is GrantMe.
The fees for these companies run into the thousand$ and I offer the same service for free to all our grade 12 students.
