This is a secondary school library; as such, we have books for students aged 12 - 18.
** We have books that some people might consider to be too graphic or mature in terms of language, violence, drug use, and sexual content.
Please make sure you and your parents are fully comfortable with your reading choices.
** I might very quietly let you know if you are taking out a book with more
mature content, just to make sure you know what you're getting.
Reference includes dictionaries, encyclopedias, and other general-info books.
FIND THESE BOOKS on the wall where the screen comes down.
Non-Fiction has a Dewey Decimal number (292.1 EVA, 443 TEL, 971.467 COL).
This Dewey Decimal number is found on the spine of the book.
Books are organized by number and then by author's first 3 letters of last name.
FIND THESE BOOKS in the alcove in the back corner of the library.
*French and English
Fiction has FIC and author's first 3 letters of last name (FIC RIO, FIC ZUK).
Fiction is organized alphabetically by author's last name.
FIND THESE BOOKS along the wall when you first come into the library, and turning the corner toward the back windows.
French Fiction
Important Note: We are working on getting French Fiction moved back into the actual library space (from the computer lab). If you're looking for a specific book, just ask and I'll help you find it, if it's in our collection and available.
French Graphic Novels (fiction and non-fiction) are on the same wall as English Graphic Novels.
Popular French books, Quick Reads and Picture Books are on the wall by the photocopier.
MOST Fiction Books are identified with genre stickers.
(this is still a work in progress - but we're about 3/4 through the alphabet!)
