del Sol's Summerfun Outdoor, Nature-inspired, Friendship Camp 2022 is designed, first and foremost, to be responsive to each child's social-emotional needs which have yearned to be more fully met during the past year of COVID-19 pandemic. del Sol's attuned and responsive teachers will conscientiously aim to nourish children's needs for personal safety, trust, genuine connection, belonging, feeling seen and heard, appreciated and valued. These 10 Cs form the critical foundation for The del Sol Difference which children will experience at our Summerfun '22 Outdoor, Nature-inspired, Friendship Camp via our rich, social constructivist (aka Reggio-inspired) environment of child-centered, child-chosen, and child-led explorations as the source of emergent short and long-term projects facilitated by our responsive teachers. Our centers will encompass all the typical domains of early childhood, including an emphasis on S.T.E.A.M. experiences to activate children's innate higher-level thinking skills of curiosity, awe & wonder, exploration, inquiry, creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving. Summerfun '22 Daily Flexible Schedule

• 9:30 -- Pre-entry Health Check; arrival; wash hands/use hand sanitizer; free choice play in our rich, child-alluring environment

• 10:50ish -- Snack, provided by parents, with hand washing before and after

• 11:20 -- Morning Mtg; Options & Choices for growing friendships, creative play and emergent projects

• 12:45ish -- Clean up; Lunch, provided by parents, with handwashing before and after

• 1:30 -- Pickup part-day campers; full-day campers begin teacher-facilitated group activities: starting with a gross motor group game.

• 2:00 -- Change of pace and energy with reading/library time which includes choices of individual reading, partner reading, and personal/partner book making.

• 2:30 -- Author Sharing of children's original stories; Teacher Read Aloud Story Time and lively discussion; Goodbye Song; Wash Hands; Gather personal items in preparation for pickup.

• 3:30 -- Bye-bye, see you tomorrow :)

Optional After Care from 3:30-5:30

Attendance Options and Tuition

• 5 ams, 9:30 - 1:30 for 3y3m - young 4s (only) for full 6 wk program is $1860 (equivalent to $310/wk) due in two installments of $930 each. First installment is due with return of Summerfun '22 Enrollment Contract on or before May 1 and second installment is due June 1.

• 5 full days, 9:30 - 3:30 for older 4s - 6s (non-nappers) is $2770 (equivalent to $460/wk) due in two installments of $1385 each. First installment is due with return of Summerfun '22 Enrollment Contract on or before May 1 and second installment is due June 1.

• Daily After Care for older 4s - 6s attending from 3:30 - 5:30 for 6 wks is $600 (equivalent to $100/wk or $20/day) due in two installments of $300 each. First installment is due with return of Summerfun '22 Enrollment Contract on or before May 1 and second installment is due June 1.

• Drop-in After Care for occasional use or regular use 1-3 days per week from 3:30-5:30 is $25 per day.

Please note that Summerfun '22 is a full 6 wk program whose mission is to increase the children's social/emotional connections and well being, deepening their understanding of self and peers, embracing friendships and awareness of community living and authentic learning via emergent curriculum for six connected weeks; however, we will enroll children for specific 4 or 5 sequential weeks at 15% and 10%, respectively, off the regular tuition price . Please note that during the specially chosen 4, 5, 6 week session that there there is no reduction, pro-ration, or refund due to absences, vacations, or early withdrawal.
