National Art Honor Society!
NAHS is a nationally recognized organization open to all AP Level Art Students. The NAHS program is meant to inspire and recognize students who have shown an outstanding ability and interest in art. The program supports members in their efforts to attain the highest standards in art scholarship, character, and service and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community.
The Memory Project and Delsea's National Art Honor Society
Students in Delsea's chapter of NAHS were sent pictures of twenty children in Mexico from the nonprofit organization called the “Memory Project.”
All of the children featured in the photographs are facing substantial challenges in their daily lives. The Delsea students used the photographs to create portraits for the Mexican students that could become keepsakes that would last a lifetime.
The painted portraits were recently delivered to the children, who understood -- through the lovely and detailed portraits -- how much care and effort went into the finished artwork.
Here is a video of the students receiving their portraits.
The NAHS often team up with Mrs. Bilinki's SAVE program to create collaborative one of a kind pieces!
