WHAT IF MY CHILD NEEDS TO SPEAK WITH THEIR GUIDANCE COUNSELOR OR CASE MANAGER? (Delsea HS/MS)
We are happy to inform you that the Delsea Regional School District Counseling Team is staying connected to you and your child(ren) remotely. Here are some ways you and your child can access their School Counselors, Case Managers, and Student Assistance Coordinator (SAC):
Work E-mail – Send an e-mail to your counselor's email account and they will respond.
Work Telephone Extension – Contact your counselor through their work number and extension. Leave a message, if necessary, and they will return your call.
Tele-Counseling – Some of the School Counselors and SACs will schedule a video conference/audio conference with your child working within the parameters of the District’s Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). During this time within your home environment, we ask that you allow privacy in a separate room for your child to speak or the use of headphones.
School Counseling Web pages – Most recently, we have added our Delsea Counseling Corner Wakelet to offer helpful activities, articles, and videos. Here is where you can locate this information: https://wakelet.com/@DelseaCounselingCorner
Local Services: Click on the links in Wakelet for available community resources, especially in a time of need.
Counselors and case managers will be available throughout the school day. Students may email or call their counselor/case manager directly. There is also additional information posted on the Delsea HS Guidance Page or the Delsea MS Guidance Page.
We are thinking about your families and please know we care!

WHAT IF MY CHILD NEEDS TECHNICAL SUPPORT
When emailing tech support, please provide a description of the issue as many problems can be handled remotely. There will be procedures if the device is damaged (broken screens, Chromebook not turning on, chargers not working...) that tech support will communicate with you.
HOW WILL MY CHILD TURN IN THEIR WORK?
Students should refer to their teacher's Google Classroom for instructions on submitting completed work. Teachers who utilize Google Classroom can see when students submit their work. Specific questions should be directed to individual teachers.
WHO SHOULD MY CHILD CONTACT WITH ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS?
Students should contact their teachers or the respective school principal at:
Mrs. Michele DePasquale - Delsea High School - mdepasquale@delsearegional.us - 856-694-0100 ext. 225
CAN I, AS A PARENT, JOIN MY CHILD'S GOOGLE CLASSROOM?
No. Google Classroom is part of the Google Workspace for Education program. For privacy reasons, Google Workspace does not allow for emails outside of the "Delsea" email domain to be a part of Google Classroom. Parents and guardians can get daily or weekly summaries from their child's teacher through Google Classroom. To do this, please provide the teacher with your email, and once you receive the setup email, you will get to choose if you want a daily or weekly summary.
WHAT IF MY CHILD PARTICIPATES IN THE ALTERNATIVE SCHOOL/BOOKBINDERS PROGRAM?
Students will be required to communicate with their teachers; classes will be completed in an Online Learning format similar to the regular school day program. While students may complete work at any time, alternative school/Bookbinder teachers will only be available during regular alternative school/Bookbinder hours.
