This AP English Language and Composition course cultivates the reading and writing skills that students need for college success and for intellectually responsible civic engagement. The reading and writing students do in this course should deepen and expand their understanding of how written language functions rhetorically: to communicate writers’ intentions and elicit readers’ responses in particular situations. Students can also sign up for Dual Credit through Camden County by February 27, 2026. Students who earn a B or higher in the class will earn 3 college credits (the equivalent of College Composition 101). Guidance will release specific details in the 3rd marking period. Students are encouraged to consider this option especially if they are not strong standardized test takers.
