This is a fun way to add excitement while watching NFL games but it is also a great fundraiser for the KofC. The Junior class of Delphos St. Johns will be helping sell tickets, but you can also purchase tickets at the KofC Hall. Final turn in will be on November 3, 2022. There are MANY opportunities to win, so once you buy a ticket you can just sit back and watch TV and relax in your favorite recliner. This fundraiser adds another element of excitement to the pro football season.
You can check to see if you are a winner anytime during the season by visiting www.fundcrazr.com and enter your ticket number.
Please keep Walter Remlinger in your prayers. Walter has moved to an assisted living facility to help with his health care concerns.

In order to get the most from your Knights of Columbus membership, we encourage you to consider advancing and becoming a fourth degree. The first degree teaches us the importance of charity. The Second and Third Degrees expand on this with lessons of unity and fraternity. Once you reach Third Degree you are given full honors of Knighthood and are officially "Knighted". And finally, the Fourth Degree imparts upon us a lesson on the virtues of patriotism. Now, more than ever, we need patriots like you in our community.
Sign up a new member and Nate Ankerman will see that they gets info on becoming a 1st degree. There will be a 2nd and 3rd degree exemplification (or degree ceremony). More information on this is coming soon. Please consider this your chance to take the next step in this great organization. Also we ask that you ask your Catholic friends, family and neighbors to consider membership. Contact us at info@DelphosKofC.org or Lou Hohman at 419-203-0878 or Nate Ankerman at 419-234-6566.
The regular monthly meetings of the Delphos K of C are held on the 2nd Monday of each month. The business meeting begins at 8:00 PM, and usually concludes around 9:00pm.
Refreshments are provided to those in attendance. When was the last time that you attended a K of C meeting? We need to hear what changes members would like to see happen.
Why not come to a meeting and let others know how you feel we could improve what we do or how we do it. Will you get “roped” into working? Nobody will twist your arm.
In order for your K of C Council to continue to do the good things we do, volunteers are needed. We need more members to step up and help out. Everyone is busy but we all find time to do the things that are important to us. Hopefully the Delphos K of C is important to you too.
Help is needed at the Delphos K of C. We have several Officer positions that need filled and need help running projects. It doesn’t have to be year around or time consuming. Possibly one evening a month or less. For more information, contact me, Terry Van Grootheest at grandknight@delphoskofc.org, come to the hall any Thursday evening, or better yet, come to a regular monthly meeting that usually lasts about an hour. Your help will make a difference.
If you would like to be added to our Delphos Knights of Columbus group texting, please send a text with your name and a request to be added to the group to: 419-405-1179.
Rules for Thursday, 9:00 pm Members Drawing
Sign up in advance, or put a dollar in the jar and sign your name on the sign up sheet.
At 9:00 PM every Member's night, a name will be drawn.
Winners in attendance get 100%, those not attending get 50%. If the name drawn matches one on the sign-up sheet, the prize is: A. If the pot exceeds $500, the prize is $500. B. If the pot is less than$500, the prize is the amount in the pot.
When the "pot" exceeds $550, a drawing of those in attendance will be held to determine the winner of $50 per week.
$5.00 Grand Knight's Drawing Thursdays at 9:00
One person in attendance wins this pot each week. Usually around $50 to $75! You gotta, play, sign up, and be there to win!
Thursday Night - Members Drawing
Every Thursday night at 9:00, there is a drawing from all the paid members' names. If the member's name that is drawn was registered for the weekly drawing, he will win some of the "pot". The amount is determined by the number of people who register for the drawing, and by how much is carried over from previous weeks, with a maximum of $500. There will be a $50.00 winner each Thursday if the "pot" exceeds $550.
Someone is going to win the POT on Thursday and it could be you.
Prepay your weekly $1.00 and make it easy to win!
The hall is open every Thursday for Member's Night. We would like to extend an invitation to the wives and girlfriends of all KofC members to come and enjoy drinks, snacks, card games, adult conversation and camaraderie. Doors open at 6:00pm.

Our new electronic digital sign is coming right along. Thank you to all those who are working so hard on this project that will truly make a big difference to not only improve the esthetics of our hall but will be a new source of fundraising. It will also allow the promoting of events and making announcements.
Thank you to Nathan Ankerman, Michael & Joe Grubbenhoff, Bernie Fiedler and Lou Hohman. (And anyone else who I may have missed that is working hard on the project.)
Information and advertising space is affordable and available for various events, businesses, and organizations. Call Nathan if you have any questions at 419.234.6566

We would like to wish each of you a blessed, healthy and very happy birthday.
If you have a birthday in October and are not listed then most likely we do not have your current info in our records. Please feel free to send me your updated contact info and birthday info. Be assured that your info will never be shared outside of your Knights of Columbus organization.

Do you have a wedding to plan, or a graduation party, Christmas party, rehearsal dinner, or an event of any kind? Why not consider the K of C Hall for your special event? Our hall can accommodate small, medium, or large groups of people. You can rent the front part of the hall for gatherings of up to 100 people, or the entire hall for large groups. If you rent the front part for smaller gatherings, you can get the food from us, carry it in, or get your own caterer. Because of our liquor license, it is illegal for anyone to carry alcoholic beverages of any kind into the hall, so we cannot allow that to happen. However, we have custom catering, full bar services, a bright, clean, user friendly, handicap accessible facility. It can be decorated to satisfy the most exquisite tastes, or used “as is’ for a worry free event. If you have questions, please contact Mike Grubenhoff at 419-615-2445 or Nate Ankerman 419-234-6566. They will be glad to answer any questions or set up an appointment to talk about your plans.
The businesses that advertise in this newsletter, help pay the cost of our website, newsletters and the other online expenses that our organization has. In addition, they are asked to donate to all sorts of fund raising projects. Please do as much business as you can locally. We all benefit.
