My name is Erin Shaw and I'm thrilled to be your child's 3rd Grade teacher! I have been teaching since 2007 and this will be my 14th year at Ashley Falls. I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd, and 3rd grade. I absolutely love my job!

I believe that students learn best when they feel happy, safe, and are having fun! My lessons are engaging and spark curiosity. I have a balanced approach to teaching- supporting academic needs to strengthen skills with rigorous instruction and helping students gain a positive and confident sense of self.

Life Outside of the Eagle's Nest
Outside of teaching, I LOVE to be active out in nature! I love to trail run, swim laps, read at the beach, and tend to my garden. My husband Mike and I love to travel, explore new areas, and go camping. We've hiked some pretty amazing trails in the Swiss Alps, San Luis Obispo, Canada, and backpacked the Grand Canyon. I'm very close with my family and friends (most are actually teachers, too!) and love spending quality time with them. I enjoy creating art and listening to all kinds of music. I am most passionate about taking care of animals and our environment.
