Educational Philosophy

Hello, and welcome to 4th Grade! I love being a teacher and am eager to meet my new students and learn about all their unique personalities, strengths, and talents. I love to laugh and have fun in class, and although I have high expectations for my students, I promise to be supportive along the way. My goal is to help my students continue to develop their compassion and integrity while learning to expand their creativity and independence.

What to Expect in  4th Grade

" We love you, California! You're the greatest state of all!" 4th graders have a super fun year  ahead of them including learning all about our state history!

In addition to reading, writing, and solving real life math problems, 4th graders will get to participate in science experiments about the human body, the birth of rocks, waves of sound , energy, motion and electricity!

Life Outside of the Coyote Den

When I’m not with students, I love to travel (especially to tropical places), go to the beach, exercise, hike, and play around with new recipes in the kitchen. I also come from a long family history of golfers, and admit I’m completely addicted to the game.  There's nothing better than a great drive or sinking a long putt and my goal is to play golf in all 50 states!  I grew up in California’s Central Valley and feel so lucky to now live in such an exciting city with so many fun things to do.  My boyfriend and canine baby Monkey, are the big joys in my life, and I'm sure you'll hear many stories about him throughout the year.
