Educational Philosophy & Expectations 

I am a devoted teaching professional with a focus on fostering a growth mindset. I strive to instill in students a love for learning and the confidence to take academic risks in a safe, supportive environment. Teaching is a true privilege—one I do not take lightly—and I approach every day with the belief that each child is capable, unique, and learns in their own way.

Sixth grade is a powerful year of transition, growth, and self-discovery. I love creating opportunities for students to make real-world connections, bring their own passions into the classroom, and develop into thoughtful, critical thinkers. One of my most important roles as a teacher is to help students explore their individuality and guide them as they build on their strengths.

I am incredibly excited to teach sixth grade this year—and especially thrilled to loop up with some of my previous students. Watching them continue to grow and supporting them on the next step of their academic journey is a joy and an honor. I'm excited to teach with Mrs. Elizabeth Martinez this year!
