Slysssa is a Hearthstone Battlegrounds streamer and competitor for Team Liquid. A former school teacher and coach of three sports, Slysssa chose to pursue a career as a full-time streamer after experiencing health issues as a result of her job. She had her first taste of esports competitions while at a DreamHack Hearthstone event, and since then Slysssa has competed at several World Series of Esports tournaments, winning the December 2020 Hearthstone Battlegrounds 10K with her Fade 2 Karma teammate TwleveWins. She currently plays on both the North American and European Hearthstone leaderboards, and streams full-time.

Build a Successful Student Centered Esports Program

Christopher Turner, a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is a highly respected visual artist and graphic designer who found a special niche as an educator who excelled in training and inspiring students to develop their own talents. After teaching at several local high schools, he came to Southern University Laboratory School – a part of the nation’s largest historically black academic system – and moved beyond a traditional arts curriculum to join the esports revolution. He developed a team of students who expanded their interest in gaming into an instructive and competitive activity that earned national awards and produced several star esports athletes. Christopher is now esports Director and Head Coach at Southern University, as well as the Laboratory School. He shares his expertise as creator and host of the Geaux Play Esports podcast. As the only Director in the country of a K-20 Esports program, he is a widely sought consultant in this area. Additionally, Christopher is an Esports Summer Coach for the Dallas Mavericks and is the Founder and GM of the High School Esports NBA 2K Pro-Am League, while serving as an Advisory Board Member of the Varsity Esports Foundation. Christopher Turner continues to make an impactful commitment to the recognition and expansion of Esports as a positive endeavor for participants of all ages.
