Shaun Byrne is the Esports Director for the varsity esports program at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. In 2017, St. Clair College was the first post-secondary institution in Canada to fully embrace varsity esports. Since January of 2019 he has also served as program coordinator and faculty lead for the Esports Administration and Entrepreneurship academic program, one of only a handful of programs in the world training students for careers in the esports industry. While Shaun doesn't have as much time to play games these days, when he gets the opportunity his favorites are the Civilization series, the Diablo series and anything in the battle royale genre.
A career school CTO for public education in Texas, Kyle Berger has over 20 years in K-12 technology leadership spread across districts of various sizes and demographics. With multiple awards such as Technology Director of the year for Texas, 2020 National Edtech Leadership winner and Institutional Leadership award for interoperability. His work is featured in several educational technology magazines, industry case studies as well as other published books on Educational Technology. Kyle is known as a transformer of educational technology. His more than 20 years of service is full of vast experiences in one to one deployment, complete district revitalization and overseeing of bond programs, redefining technology in several districts and development of State Championship Esports programs for High School Competitions. Currently, he serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Grapevine-Colleyville ISD, a school district of 14,000 students located in North Texas.

Joey Gawrysiak holds the controller in the world of esports academia.
He has made the international esports rounds, with appearances on podcasts, radio shows and even a cruise line, and has presented at several gaming and sport management events—including the Sport Management Association of Australia and New Zealand and the Music and Gaming Educational Symposium. Gawrysiak has written several articles on esports and is in the process of creating a chapter for the first dedicated esports textbook. He has hosted esports tournaments and served as a guest lecturer and consultant for several universities.
