Valdelana is located in Elciego, a town of just over 1000 inhabitants, in the area known as the Rioja Alavesa. For the second time it has been awarded, the best Winery in Art and Culture. Bodegas Valdelana has two 15th century underground museums, one of them traces the history of all the civilizations that have preceded us and the other houses a wine museum.
In 1634, Pedro Valdelana began to make his wines in one of the cellars present that today. He made wine for his own consumption, while maintaining the characteristics of tempranillo that we enjoy today.
Their most special wine is the CENTVM VITIS. It is a wine of pre-phylloxera origin that comes from 4 hectares of vineyards that survived phylloxera. These vines have more than 100 years of history, coexisting with four generations of the Valdelana family. An interesting place to visit, for both the wines and the underground museum.
