Welcome to third grade! My name is Teresa Langton and I am so excited for the new school year to begin! This fall marks the beginning of my 34th year of teaching. (If you gasped when you read that, imagine me gasping as I wrote it!) It is hard for me to believe it has been that long. As they say, time flies when you are having fun, and I feel very passionate about teaching and learning!
I grew up in the small town of Heron Lake, MN. I attended college at Southwest State University in Marshall, MN and earned my Master´s Degree in Education from St. Mary´s University. I hit the jackpot when I got my first teaching job in Delano in 1992. I have taught kindergarten, first and third grade since then.
Third grade has now been my home for 28 years and I have never looked back. This is my favorite age of students and I am looking forward to getting to know your child and giving him/her the very best experience possible.
I have three children of my own, all of whom are adults. I am also the proud grandma of two boys, a 2 ½ year old and a nearly 3 month old. They all live in the area, which this empty nester appreciates!
In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going for walks, reading, taking photos, watching birds, cooking, and baking.
I am looking forward to teaming with you to make this year your child's best school year yet!
