Parent Volunteers

Fans of the Chamblee Middle School Orchestra can  assist our organization in many ways:

• Coordinating parent volunteers and chaperones for concerts and events

• Assisting with light & sound set up

• Recording & photographing concerts and events

• Concert and reception planning

• Planning long term and special interest projects

Chaperoning a trip is one of the most fun ways to support Orchestra! Please check details on the "Trips" page and contact Mrs. Moffatt directly with questions.

All trips require a medical professional to assist with student medication, so if this is your specialty, please consider traveling with us.

Parent chaperones are required to complete Level III Volunteer training, fingerprinting, and a background check to receive a volunteer badge with the DCSD Safety Office.

Monetary donations beyond the annual dues are greatly appreciated and benefit the Orchestra through purchasing supplies, purchasing new music, making instrument repairs, funding trips, hiring workshop coaches and sectional leaders, and purchasing new instruments, bows, and cases.

Donations of instruments and other gently used equipment and outgrown uniform polos is also appreciated.
