She went on to study music at Georgia State University, earning both a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Viola Performance under the instruction of Tania Maxwell Clements. After GSU, Mrs. Moffatt went on to establish a large private studio of violin and viola students and performed often with her string quartet and several orchestras throughout the state of Georgia, including serving as Principal Violist of Macon Symphony from 2015 until it’s final season. She also served as the conductor of the String Orchestra of Decatur and Atlanta where she discovered her passion for teaching in an orchestral setting. In 2016, Mrs. Moffatt went on to earn her teaching certificate from the Georgia State School of Music while she began both her career as the Orchestra Director at Chamblee Middle School and her family.
