The Deerfield Music Department normally offer various fundraising opportunities for music students and families over the course of the year. All of our fundraising opportunities are just that – opportunities. They are completely optional! There is no obligation to any member or family to participate in any Music Department Fundraiser. While we will not be doing any traveling this year, we do plan to resume our out-of-state HS trips, annual MS and HS trips to Chicago, as well as our other travel and music experiences, as soon as it is safe to do so. These fundraising opportunities can be used to start “saving up” for our future trips and musical experiences.
As with all of our fundraisers (except the Music Booster Fruit Sale), each student keeps 100% of the profit from their sale, which then goes into their Band/Choir account. This money can then be used towards music trips, band supplies, instrument purchases, repairs, or other Band/Choir needs.
As an alternative, some parents prefer to just donate some money to their child’s account instead of doing the fundraiser. If you are interested in this, just send the money in an envelope with your child’s name on it to Mr. Petersen or Mr. Rodrigues-Pavao.
Please see the Band Website or Band Handbook or Choir Handbook for more information about Fundraisers, or contact Mr. Petersen or Mr. Rodrigues-Pavao.
We are trying our best to work with our vendors to keep these sales as safe as possible. Many of the sales can be done fully, or partially, online. Some sales might still require you to collect money and order forms and then return them to school, and deliver the product.
More specific information about each fundraiser will be available as we get closer to the sale.
