About Me

This is from our family trip to Newfoundland a few years ago.  We hiked into the Tablelands, where the theory of plate tectonics was proven.

I graduated from the University of Maine-Farmington in 2003 with a degree in Elementary Education and a math concentration.  I have prior experience working for the Ellsworth School Department, first as a Technology Educator and then as a teacher.  I taught students ranging from grades 2-12.  Before coming to work at Dedham, I took some time to stay home with my young children. Now my son Owen is 13 and my twin daughters Fiona and Phoebe are 11.  This is my 6th year at Dedham School, and I love teaching there!

After many night and summer classes, I am an art teacher; this will be my second year teaching art.  I began my teaching career with a math concentration, and I will be keeping my 6th grade math and Algebra classes.  I will also have a 6th grade homeroom.

I am very excited for this upcoming school year.  Please reach out with any question.  See you soon!
