Welcome to the 2023 Dedham Middle School Summer Mathematics page!
Our middle school math teachers have worked collaboratively to identify the most important math content and skills that students should practice to be ready for school in September.
Below you will find summer assignments by grade level. You can print your grade level assignment or work through the problems on paper you have on hand at home. Make sure to show your work and hand it in to your math teacher in the Fall.
Khan Academy is an excellent optional resource. Scroll down to the Khan Academy section below to learn more.
Required Summer Math Work
Select the assignment for the grade you will be entering in the Fall.
The answers are at the end of each document for Grades 6 and 8.
Please check them to ensure that your work is correct.
Enrichment Work
This work is optional but would be helpful to prepare you for the next school year!
Khan Academy Summer Program
This is optional work to help prepare students for next year. Students can just click on the links below to practice or parents can create a parent account, assign their students the appropriate course, and track their progress. Parents should go to KhanAcademy.org and click Sign Up in the upper right corner to begin the process.
