We learned about the different groups of immigrants and the items they brought with them to America to make sure they kept their culture alive! The kids asked several thought provoking questions that led to further discussions. Well done 4M!
Walking through the weave room was quite an experience! The kids couldn't believe how loud it was and there were only a few of the machines on. The kids used their senses to to describe the experience.
Town Meeting! The kids took on two different points of view debating the issue of building a school for only Irish children. The kids had so much fun taking on the different roles. We also had some great town leaders in Keira, Athena, David, and Paul.
Each student got their very own passport and played the role of that immigrant. They organized displays of artifacts from their home country and learned why they were so important to these different groups.
