All students taking art classes will understand and apply visual arts as a part of daily life, problem-solving, small motor skills, experience cultural diversity, and support creative thinkers.

Art is designed for students to develop a deeper understanding and apply the Elements of Art and Principles of Design in their own artwork. In addition, students will develop their art skills and techniques. Throughout the class students will actively engage in various art activities that will prepare them for art at the Intermediate level.

Throughout Kindergarten students will apply the skills and techniques they learn to units relating to:
