Venusta is a student-led digital publication investigating the therapeutic applications of artistic expression and its role in mental wellness. The project conducts cultural analysis examining how various creative mediums serve as tools for psychological processing and community healing, with particular focus on Toronto's diverse artistic landscape. The platform produces research-driven content including analytical essays, documentary photography, and video profiles exploring the intersection of creativity and mental health. Featured work examines the psychological benefits of different art forms while documenting the professional journeys of local artists, highlighting themes of resilience, creative problem-solving, and community support systems. Content methodology integrates academic research in art psychology with ethnographic documentation of Toronto's creative community. Each publication investigates how artistic practice functions as both individual therapeutic tool and collective cultural expression, contributing to broader conversations about creativity's role in mental wellness. The project is developing toward implementation of a structured 6-week workshop series scheduled for March 2025, designed to provide students with practical creative skills training while establishing peer support networks through collaborative artistic practice. This community-based component represents the transition from research and documentation to direct educational and therapeutic application.
