This grade 12 course is designed to offer the senior level student more advanced wilderness outdoor and leadership experiences. Meeting the physical and mental challenges of these outdoor pursuits will promote personal growth, enhance self-esteem, develop leadership skills and provide life-long memories. Activities include: wilderness canoe tripping, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, advanced orienteering, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and paddling.
There may be a 3-day canoe trip and/or 3-day winter camping trip. Participants in this program are required to have an appropriate level of fitness to enjoy these aerobic endurance activities.
Note: Supplementary fees for enhanced learning through field experiences may be collected as the course proceeds. Trip fees may total approximately $350.
