This video features 9 newcomer parents talking about how they helped their children be successful in school and the importance of parent involvement in the Ontario education system.
The parents describe the many ways they are involved in their child's school. They also talk about some of the barriers to their involvement and how they overcame them.
The more parents are involved, the better students do. As one parent says, "that's why we came to Canada, for our kids."
