Grade 7 History Curriculum

The Historical Thinking Concepts
The four Historical Thinking Concepts – historical significance, cause and consequence, continuity and change, historical perspective – underpin all thinking and learning in history. We encourage you to post the Historical Thinking Concepts in your classroom and refer to them often. These will be keys to success in all history courses from Grades 7 to 12.
The Inquiry Process
The Inquiry Process – Formulate Questions, Gather and Organize, Interpret and Analyze, Evaluate and Draw Conclusions, and Communicate – is the way geographers and historians research issues. We encourage you to post the Inquiry Process in your classroom and refer to it often. These will be keys to success in all geography and history courses from Grades 7 to 12.
