There are two units in Grade 7 Geography and both are about physical geography:
Grade 8 Geography is about human geography, and Grade 9 Geography is about both physical and human geography and the interactions between the two.
The four Geographical Thinking Concepts – spatial significance, patterns and trends, interrelationships, and geographic perspective – underpin all thinking and learning in geography. We encourage you to post the Geographical Thinking Concepts in your classroom and refer to them often. These will be keys to success in all geography courses from Grades 7 to 12.
The Inquiry Process – Formulate Questions, Gather and Organize, Interpret and Analyze, Evaluate and Draw Conclusions, and Communicate – is the way geographers and historians research issues. We encourage you to post the Inquiry Process in your classroom and refer to it often. These will be keys to success in all geography and history courses from Grades 7 to 12.
