2022-2023
2022-2023
Welcome!
As we begin the 2nd Semester for this Academic School Year, we begin looking forward to our students' learning journey and next steps.
At G.L. Roberts, we believe that student success is possible for every student. Along with students' individual time and effort towards their own success, students benefit from the collaborative process with their support team. The support team includes, but is not limited to: parents/guardians, teachers, and guidance counsellors. Together, student success becomes a reality when there are meaningful discussions, planning, reflection on strengths and needs, with a focus on personal interests and goals.
Additionally, we acknowledge that the transition into the next school year may be different and perhaps more challenging for some, as we move forward in our #GLRLearningjourney. Therefore, we have created this site as a resource for our students & their families to help them work through the course selection process, for next year.
By working together, as a team, we can help students feel included, supported and ready to start the next chapter in their learning journey.
The Guidance Department will be visiting Homeroom classes throughout February and March to share our Course Selection Presentation .
Students are encouraged to use myBlueprint to help them explore their interests and skills by using the "Who Am I?" tool. We also suggest that students start to explore their post-secondary options by looking into Occupations and/or Post-Secondary programs.
Additionally,
The Guidance department will be hosting "Drop In" Support Sessions for students who need assistance with their course selections and submission. These are optional, but we strongly encourage our students to make use of this resource, by visiting us in Guidance during their lunch break.
