In 2020, the Durham District School Board started using the program MyBlueprint to help students explore their future, reflect on their learning and growth, and to become an advocate for their education, with course choices and pathway options. Click on the image to the left for a video tutorial on how to login and how to start the course selection process. Click on the title above to get to the login page for MyBlueprint.
Once course selections are submitted, parents/guardians will receive an email requesting them to complete the electronic signature. Parent/Guardian approval is required for all course selections.
Once this is done, your course selections will be placed in "Waiting to Export" status, and that means you are done!
The course code for Grade 11 English has changed!
Instead of choosing a course code that starts with ENG, please choose from the following:
NBE3C (College Pathway)
NBE3U (University Pathway)
NBE3E (Workplace Pathway)
The curriculum is very similar to ENG with a focus on texts authored by First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. It will look very similar to the English courses they took in Grade 9 and 10. The focus is still on developing skills in reading, writing, oral communication and media studies, with a focus on contemporary issues, Indigenous voices and contributions to literature and media.
