If you have concerns regarding your child’s transition to Brooklin Village, please contact the SERT who is responsible for your child's grade/program, to discuss any individual learning needs your child may have.
Learning needs may include:
medical diagnosis, such as Autism, Diabetes, Epilepsy
language delay
articulation/ speech concerns
physical disability
hearing/vision impairment
attention and focus concerns
high anxiety and/or significant difficulties adjusting to changes in routines
Please inform the SERT if your child is currently receiving services from community agencies such as Grandview Children’s Centre. If possible, please share current assessment reports/ medical documentation with the school.
It is also suggested that you consider having your child’s hearing and vision assessed before the beginning of school in September.
We look forward to working with your family to ensure your child has a successful transition to school.
