Mental Health and Wellness

Greetings Bears!

May 3-9 is the Canadian Mental Health Association's (CMHA) 70th annual Mental Health Week.

"The core objective of Mental Health Week is to promote mental health because mental health is something we can promote and protect, not just something we can lose.

The theme of this year's CMHA Mental Health Week is understanding our emotions.

  • Recognizing, labeling and accepting our feelings are all part of protecting and promoting good mental health for everyone.

  • Naming, expressing and dealing with our emotions - even when they're uncomfortable - can make us feel better.

We recognize that people are experiencing unprecedented stresses and feelings of anxiety related to Covid-19. 40% of Canadians say their mental health has deteriorated since the onset of the pandemic." (CMHA Fact Sheet)

Our goal with this website is to highlight and organize mental health resources for you to help with education about Mental Health, quick and easy stress management & coping strategies, learning how to name emotions as well as fun virtual activities to help reduce stress.
