ASM 3O1 Media Arts Open Level
Using the most recent version of Adobe Creative Cloud Software and traditional media, students will create media art works including computer animation, digital imaging, and video. Students will explore the elements and principles of media arts, the connections between contemporary media art works and traditional art forms, and the importance of using responsible practices when engaged in the creative process. Students will develop the skills necessary to create and interpret media art works.

Students enrolled in the SHSM–Information and Communications Technology will be involved in today’s rapid and exciting changes in technology and will contribute to new and emerging media and technologies in the years to come.
Specialist High Skills Majors let students focus on a career path that matches their skills and interests while meeting the requirements of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Students receive the SHSM seal on their diploma when they:
complete a specific bundle of 8-10 courses in the student's selected field
earn valuable industry certifications including First Aid and CPR qualifications
gain important skills on the job through cooperative education placements.
