FOR STUDENTS
Not feeling respected?
HERE’S WHAT YOU CAN DO:
*Tell the person to stop
*Tell the person “That is disrespectful and hurtful” or “I don’t like it when you do that.”
*Walk Away
*Block their phone number or online account
*Make an appointment with your counselor/Schedule a mediation
*Get advice from an adult/talk to your parents or someone at school
****If nothing you try is working, then it is time to get an adult involved****
FOR PARENTS
Here’s how adults can help at FLMS:
Email Mrs. Charles and/or Mrs. Johnson regarding the concern or question
*Mrs. Charles or Mrs. Johnson can mediate the problem or meet with the student bullying so they can understand the impact of their actions
*The teacher can watch to make sure it doesn’t happen in class
*Have your student fill out a Harassment Report Form. These are located in the front office.
*Printed evidence of online bullying can be reviewed and consequences given at school
* Administrators can review video footage from around our school
*Mr. Stevens/Mr. Smart/Principal Pease can meet with the person bullying and give consequences
* if it is a serious problem, we can work with the police
