Writing: As we begin the "One Book, One School" program, we want to build some background knowledge on Scotland. Scotland is the setting for the selected book, The Water Horse by Dick King-Smith. In groups, we are researching Scotland's geography, culture, tourism, and history. After each group is finished researching, they will take the information and work together to display it on a poster. On Tuesday, February 18, we will put all our posters together to create a museum that other classes can walk through to learn more about Scotland.
Science: Students are studying rocks and fossils, and how they show how the Earth has changed over time.
Social Studies: We are starting our Nebraska research project! The students will complete a "fan" project combining all of our research.
