2025 Egg Drop
Mrs. Lutze's class collaborated to design and construct a parachute that would safely land an egg. They had to apply their knowledge of velocity, acceleration, and forces to design and build their parachute.

Cool Homes Around the World - Before reading Life on Top we researched different types of homes around the world. We learned that climate and resources in each region influences the type of home built. Each student built a model of the home they researched.

-Soybeans are used in many products - adhesives, animal food, margarine, wax, yogurt, crayons, etc.
Mrs. Lutze's class read The Eleventh Hour. The story is about Horace creating a fancy feast to celebrate his birthday, but someone eats it all. We had a day filled with games, solving clues, and figuring out who ate the feast. We ended it with our own feast.
On Wednesday, December 3rd we were able to Zoom with an instructor from the Durham Museum in Omaha. Our time was spent learning about what the day in the life of a student from the 1800's was like in a one room schoolhouse. Next week we will receive a traveling trunk from Homestead National Monument in Beatrice. This trunk uses student-centered activities to increase student's knowledge of what school was like in the late 19th century.
