My research interest revolves around understanding various biophysical phenomena such as membrane-protein, membrane-drug and protein-drug interactions at structured interfaces. Using various surface-sensitive spectroscopic methods such as EIS, Raman and FCS, etc, we aim to understand how drug permeation (passive or active) occurs at different eukaryotic plasma membranes to bacterial membrane

I am a biophysicist interested in understanding fundamental processes that influence neurodegenerative diseases, especially Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. I use a range of spectroscopy and microscopy techniques to investigate the mechanism of protein aggregation, kinetics and dynamics. Additionally, I synthesise novel organic material for therapeutic and diagnostic applications.

My research is focused on photophysical, spectroscopic and biophysical studies of Ru(II) probes, to evaluate what probes will distinguish and report DNA quadruplexes, permitting dynamic tracking of quantity, localization and structure beyond the resolution of conventional microscopes
Postgraduate Student
Development of luminescent probes for intracellular sensing of non-canonical DNA Motifs

My research involves the design, preparation and study of supramolecular systems, particularly liposomes and liposomal analogues. These systems will have applications in phototherapeutics and bioimaging
