Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,

Welcome to the Fairplay Middle School Counseling Program! We are excited to partner with you as we support our students through the important and transformative middle school years. 

Middle school is a time of growth, exploration, and change. Our counseling program is designed to help students navigate academic, social, and emotional challenges while building the skills they need for success in school and beyond. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment where every student feels seen, heard, and supported.

Our Counseling Services Include:

Academic Support: Counselors assist students with study habits, organization, and goal setting to help them achieve academic success. 

Social and Emotional Well-being: We provide a safe and confidential space for students to express themselves and receive guidance. Our team helps students develop coping strategies, build resilience, and manage stress or conflict. 

College and Career Readiness: We help students begin exploring future career interests, learn about high school pathways, and set goals that will prepare them for success beyond middle school. 

Individual and Group Counseling:  Based on student needs, we offer short term individual counseling as well as small group sessions focused on specific topics like friendship, stress management, and self esteem. 

Parent and Guardian Collaboration: We value our partnership with families and encourage open communication.  Our counselors are available to consult with parents/guardians to discuss student needs, concerns, or questions.
